As a Least Developed Country, Lesotho is eligible for a number of preferential trade agreements. These extend preferential market access as a way to promote development through trade. Preferential market access arrangements are offered by Australia, Canada, the European Free Trade Area (EFTA), the European Union, Japan, New Zealand and the US. A full guide to these preferential agreements was compiled for the Lesotho National Development Corporation by the Southern Africa Global Competitiveness Hub as part of its trade facilitation and capacity building activities. It was funded by USAID Southern Africa. To download a PDF version of this guide, click here: For more info on the agreements see the links to the left.
